LENNY KRAVITZ LATEST TO JOIN ALL-STAR GREY CUP ROSTER

KRAVITZ TO PLAY ROGERS GREY CUP HALFTIME SHOW IN TORONTO

Toronto, ON – Multi-Platinum Virgin/EMI recording artist Lenny Kravitz will headline the Rogers Grey Cup Halftime Show at the 95th Grey Cup in Toronto at Rogers Centre on Sunday, November 25, 2007, announced the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the Grey Cup Festival Committee today.

As the feature performer in the Rogers Grey Cup Halftime Show, Kravitz will entertain millions of football fans during Canada’s largest single-day sporting event. CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon said Lenny Kravitz’s performance compliments the CFL’s signature game.

“In addition to the great football offered on Sunday, the Grey Cup also brings sports fans a preeminent entertainer like Lenny Kravitz,” said Cohon. “Fans of all ages will enjoy a performance from this renowned rock musician during a world-class halftime production. The return of the Grey Cup to Toronto is already a huge success.”

Remarked Brad Watters, General Manager, Grey Cup 2007, “We are thrilled that Lenny Kravitz will headline the star-studded 2007 Grey Cup festival.  Lenny is an international icon with widespread appeal that is perfect for the Grey Cup audience.  The entertainment aspect of this year’s festival is unparalleled and the Grey Cup Committee is proud to bring this to Torontonians and to football fans from across our country.”

Lenny Kravitz’s Grey Cup Halftime performance comes in advance of the release of his 8th studio album on February 5, 2008. The album, entitled It Is Time For A Love Revolution (Virgin/EMI), is Kravitz’s first new release in over three years; the record is a thunderous rock 'n roll call-to-arms, featuring a universal blend of soul, funk, and jazz grooves and the undeniable anthemic lyricism that's been his trademark from day one.   Seven of the four-time Grammy Award winner’s previous albums have all been certified either platinum or multi-platinum.  New music from Kravitz hits radio airwaves later this month.

"We are very excited to have one of our biggest International artists at the Grey Cup, an event that is such a part of true Canadian culture," commented Deane Cameron, President of EMI Music Canada.   "There isn't a better way that we could kick-off the launch of Lenny's fantastic new album!"

Rogers Wireless customers will have an exclusive opportunity to win a Rogers VIP Grey Cup experience. Lenny Kravitz ringtunes will be available for download up until November 11th. Fans can enter by texting 'Lenny' to 4744 on their Rogers Wireless phone for the chance to see Lenny live in concert at the Rogers Grey Cup Halftime Show.

Lenny Kravitz joins the ranks of previous Grey Cup halftime performers Nelly Furtado, The Black Eyed Peas, Bryan Adams, Sam Roberts, Shania Twain and The Tragically Hip.

The 95th Grey Cup game will be broadcast live from Toronto on CBC and RDS in both official languages at 6:00 pm EST.

Less than 2,000 tickets for the Grey Cup remain, including a special block of seats with access to the field for the Rogers Grey Cup Halftime Show. To purchase tickets or to learn more about this year’s Grey Cup Festival visit www.cflgreycup.ca.
